US 10-year Treasury yield hovers at 7-week high
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The yield on the 10-year Treasury note in the US trades at a 7-week high of 2.149%, as the fall inn the German debt continues to weigh over the US Treasury yield.
10-year yield saw the highest closing since Mar. 9
The yield ended 1.6 basis points higher at 2.135% on Monday, its highest closing level since Mar. 9. Meanwhile, the yield on the 10-year German Bund traded 7.5 basis points higher at 0.447% around the US close.
Moreover, the yields have been moving higher along with Crude prices and German yields. Ahead in the day, the yield could be influenced by the release of the services PMI data in the US.
10-year yield Technical Levels
The immediate resistance is located at 2.164, above which gains could be extended to 2.259%. On the flip side, a break below 2.087 could drive the yield lower to 2.043.
