US stocks close negative amid Ukraine fears

FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street finished negative on Tuesday after trading positive almost the whole session. Investors initially cheered upbeat earnings reports and consumer confidence data, however concerns over Ukraine crisis hurt market sentiment.

The Dow Jones and the S&P closed at daily lows.

The DJIA declined 70.48 pts or 0.42% to finish at 16,912.11; The S&P 500 eased 8.96 pts or 0.45% to close at 1,969.95; while the Nasdaq Composite lost 2.21 pts or wrap up the session at 4,442.70.
